Fee Insurance: The School operates an ‘opt-in’ policy under the Ecclesiastical Pupils’ Absence Insurance Scheme. If parents wish their child/children to be covered by this scheme, the fee payer will need to complete, sign and return The Form. The premium charged for this cover is 0.73% of termly fees. This is to safeguard the fees paid by parents in the event of the absence of a pupil through illness or accident. Insurance does not cover a claim caused by, or relating to, Pandemics (currently Covid-19). The Governors’ policy is that refunds cannot be given other than through the Protection Scheme.
Personal Accident Insurance: All pupils are automatically insured for personal accident for 365 days of the year through a scheme operated by Chubb insurers. Details will be sent prior to entry, together with our New Parents’ Handbook.
Insurance of Pupils’ Property: Parents are strongly advised to arrange an extension of their household contents policy to cover their child’s clothes, personal effects, bicycles etc while at school, as these are not covered by the School’s own insurance policy.
There is a widespread trend across the Insurance Industry for insurers to assess the exposure of pandemic and epidemic losses. Therefore, like with other insurance businesses, Ecclesiastical will be adding the following exclusion for any pandemic or epidemic from 1 September 2020: Any claim directly or indirectly caused by, contributed to or arising from any new or ongoing pandemic or epidemic of disease.
We do not offer automatic sibling discounts, but we do consider any siblings at the School whenever we receive applications for financial assistance through the means-tested bursary process.
The system for payment of school fees is by termly Direct Debit and parents who have not signed a mandate to pay fees by Direct Debit are requested to do so. Further information is available on request from the Accounts department on [email protected].
Parents are respectfully reminded that fees are payable by the first day of term.
