All OEs and former staff are warmly welcomed to join the worldwide community of Old Edwardians when they leave King Edward’s School.
The Old Edwardians’ Association is dedicated to maintaining strong mutually supportive links with the School and fostering an ongoing sense of community and heritage across the generations.
As well as arranging events and other opportunities for OEs to meet, its main aims are to support the School with careers advice for current pupils and fundraising for the KES Bursary Fund.

Providing opportunities for OEs to meet has been a focal point of OE activity since the Old Edwardians’ Association was first set up in 1906. Today’s OE calendar is a varied mix of both formal and informal events, with something to suit OEs of all ages including daytime reunions for different year groups, a biennial Sporting Reunion, an annual walking weekend and evening events held in London. OEs are also very welcome to join the school community for main school events such as The Wroughton Lecture, Founder’s Day, the Carol Service, plus exhibitions and concerts.
Please send us your news and photos for inclusion in our regular OE e-newsletters or contribute a news update or article for the annual OElink magazine. Tell us about your adventures, challenges, degree news, your career, community involvement, hobbies, retirement news, as well as marriages and family news! For more information contact [email protected].
A great sense of community exists amongst OEs, build on deep friendships which have developed over the years. This, combined with a deeply held feeling of pride and gratitude for the education they received at KES, has led many to help others to benefit from such an opportunity by donating to the Bursary Fund or by leaving a legacy in their will.
There are many other ways in which you can maintain or renew your connection with KES…
Could you inspire current pupils by attending a school careers event or giving a talk to pupils about your career or area of expertise? Would you be able to help advise pupils about the application process and transitioning to higher education? Events include a HE advice afternoon for Year 12 each September, a biennial Careers Convention plus options to set up a visit to provide advice for small groups of pupils or to present more formally to a larger group.
The committee meet up once a term and new members are always welcome! Meetings are held in the early evening over a light supper, and joining the committee is a great way for OEs and former staff to provide active support to the OE community and help shape its future activities.
We recognize that OEs will be using a variety of social media sites. The Development Office also offers a secure site where OEs can update their contact details and find old friends called OEs Online. Please contact [email protected] for access details.
The OEs have a small range of merchandise including Old Edwardian ties (£15) and Tudor Rose pin badges (£2). To arrange purchase, please contact [email protected].
