David Hacker, KES Director of Sport, is also the assistant coach to the Welsh Hockey Team who, as part of their preparation for the European Championships in June had a match against the Great Britain Elite Development Programme Training Squad over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The match was held at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre and in addition to Mr Hacker’s coaching role had three Old Edwardian’s playing.  Jack Tranter (2005-2012) was in goal for Wales while Toby Reynolds-Cotterill (2008-2013) and Matthew Simonds (2010-2017) played for the GB Development Squad.  Mr Hacker and Jack went away with the bragging rights after a 2-0 win for the Welsh, and we wish them the best of luck as they continue preparations for the European Championships, with Wales playing the first match against Germany on 4 June.
