Whole School Wellbeing

In June, to coincide with Pride Month, the KES community will be celebrating the pride they have in themselves as individuals, and as a school community.

All three schools will celebrate diversity and pride with informative and age-appropriate library displays, a poster campaign celebrating kindness and inclusion and a Rainbow Pride Day on 22 June, where pupils can wear rainbow colours in support of the LGBTQ+ KES Community.

Younger years will focus on celebrating themselves as individuals because everyone is unique and special. In the Senior School information will be available for students in a range of ways, encouraging pupils to understand and respect everyone in their community.

KESPride is the Senior School’s support group for everyone – the LGBTQ+, label-less and surrounding community.  The group, set up by pupils for pupils 14 years ago, continues to be a valuable source of support, information, and catalyst for proactive change within the school community. Meeting every other Monday, the group aims to spread awareness, self-confidence, and pride.
