King Edward’s School, Bath has been part of the fabric of the city for nearly 475 years. We are fortunate to enjoy a number of partnerships, many long standing, with a wide range of organisations and institutions within the local community, providing fantastic opportunities for engagement and enrichment for everyone involved. Both directly through our own work and indirectly through our partnerships with other bodies, KES has been able to support outreach programmes for hundreds of local school children covering areas such as music, art, drama, sport, curriculum enrichment, especially in Maths and English, Higher Education advice and much more besides, and we have been delighted to see the number and range of partnerships grow each year.
King Edward’s attracts pupils from a wide range of backgrounds and, through our extensive means-tested bursary programme, which currently supports around 20% of pupils at the Senior School, we are determined to remain a grounded, welcoming and accessible school which is embedded in the local community.
The School’s weekly volunteering programme and extensive charitable and fundraising activities help to support many individuals and organisations both locally and further afield and provide our own pupils and staff with memorable opportunities and experiences that help them both to grow as individuals and also to gain a deeper understanding of the world on their doorstep. Our many different partnerships allow everyone involved to exchange ideas and expertise and to grow together within a thriving community. We hope to continue our existing partnerships and to keep adding to them for many years to come.
