Charitable support and action have been much in the minds of the KES community this term, as the worsening humanitarian situation in Ukraine continues to dominate headlines. Not surprisingly, pupils have been keen to do all they can to help fundraise for the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, organised by The Disasters Emergency Committee, in particular. A mufti day and charity netball matches, as well as our most successful cake sale ever, have all helped fundraise for this important appeal.
This is in addition to the regular charitable work we continue to undertake, including the KES Unite Concert at the end of term, collecting for Bath Foodbank and donating to the Bath Welcomes Refugees appeal for clothing. To gain a greater understanding of how efforts by the KES community translate into help and real support, pupil members of our Charities Committee recently visited the Bath Foodbank warehouse to see the donations coming in and understand how they are distributed by the Genesis Trust. We continue to be incredibly grateful to the KES community for all that they do in support of our fundraising efforts.
