Each July, the KES community marks the end of the school year and commemorates its founding by King Edward the Sixth by gathering in Bath Abbey. Whilst such a celebration is, of course, not possible this summer, it remains more important than ever to continue a tradition that reinforces the longevity, continuity and collegiality of our School, and so, for the first time in the history of King Edward’s, we bring you a virtual Founder’s Day. Although much shorter than the usual event, this year’s celebration contains many of the core ingredients from the annual service and features our Head Prefects, Alex and Sahara, as well as Senior Prefect, Naomi, accompanied in a wonderful vocal performance by her father, Michael. We are delighted – and very grateful – that Reverend Roger Driver, Rector of St Michael’s, Bath and long-standing friend of the School, joins us to give his thoughts and blessing. We do hope you enjoy the video (below) that we have put together to mark the end of this academic year.
