Earlier this term, 137 pupils from Years 9-11 took part in the Intermediate Maths Challenge, along with thousands of the best mathematicians from across the country. Gold, Silver and Bronze certificates are awarded to the top 40% of participants. It was immensely pleasing to learn that 88 pupils from KES were among the top 40% of entries. Well done to the 34 pupils who gained a bronze certificate. 33 pupils went one better and gained a silver certificate, whilst 21 pupils were awarded a gold certificate. Many congratulations to all those gaining certificates, among them Lewis Guan, who is awarded the Maths Shield for achieving the highest score here at KES.
