KES Cadets and Adult Volunteers took part in a running challenge representing the South West brigade during February, in a virtual event organised by the Army Cadet Force.

Throughout the month 14 cadets and staff took part in the running challenge, with the aim of clocking up as many miles as possible during the month in competition against other regions.

Their collective efforts helped the South West region take 3rd place in the challenge, as 235 athletes ran a total of 7,555 miles.  Among the many outstanding, individual efforts was CSgt Wigfield (Year 13) who ran an incredible 276 miles in 4 weeks, including a marathon on the last day!

Across the whole event, 1,825 cadets and CFAVs ran a total of 48,302 miles, the equivalent of running the Equator line twice.
