Many congratulations to Josh Lang who has been accepted onto the Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) programme – a government funded scheme, delivered by England Hockey and Loughborough College, designed to support an athletes' ability to plan, apply and evaluate their development in all aspects of elite hockey so that they thrive as players and are equipped for the demands of hockey at the highest level.
Participation in the programme will see Josh attending four national camps that provide a blend of on-pitch technical and tactical sessions, presentations and 1-2-1s.
Director of Sport at KES, David Hacker, said: ‘I am delighted that Josh has made his way onto this prestigious programme. He follows Ben Sharp (Year 13) in tackling this course and qualification. Josh will, hopefully benefit from the opportunity to gain the skills, competences, credit and ultimately a qualification in performing within the elite sports training and competition environment.’
