I'm going to Wonderland" was the cry as Junior School children arrived at school one day this term, only to be met by a quite fantastic Mad Hatter's Tea Party with some very familiar guests already enjoying a cup of tea.  But was that the Dormouse already asleep, with her head on the table?!

And so began 'Curiosity Day' at School, with Alice in Wonderland themed lessons to inspire curiosity and learning across the curriculum. Curiosity Boxes were explored in Science and Mad Hatter animations created in ICT.

In DT everyone weighed out ingredients and followed the method to make jammy dodgers for the Queen of Hearts (Mrs Pike), whilst in Maths a series of instructions had to be followed to work out who should sit where around the Mad Hatter's table! Later that day children worked in vertical year groups to produce some lovely prose, with the older children supporting and encouraging the younger ones.  Lunch even followed the same theme.

A huge thank you to all the teachers and staff at the Junior School for working their magic and making the day such a memorable event and an adventure in learning for all the children.

"I could tell you my adventures beginning from this morning,’ said Alice: ‘but it’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then." - Lewis Carroll.
