Year 4 spent an enjoyable and interesting morning at the Amitabha Buddhist Centre in Bristol this week. Lamchen, the Buddhist nun who leads the centre, helped them to understand about different types of minds and how to deal with problems in a positive way. Andy, a practising Buddhist, explained more about Buddhist beliefs and led the children through a relaxation meditation. Year 4 asked some really searching questions during their visit. Some of them managed to count over 17 statues of the Buddha, whilst enjoying a drink and a biscuit in the garden. The children will be creating a wall display to show everyone what they have learnt, so please look out for it in the Junior School's lower corridor in the next few weeks.
