Science for Adventurous Minds! The Year 6 Science Fair

This year's Junior School Science Fair went virtual this term, and Year 6 truly blew Mr Carter away with the effort they put into their projects from home! For the project, they had to follow the 'science method' to pick a topic, explore a question, carry out the investigation or research, then finally conclude it all with what they discovered. 

The range of unique questions posed was intriguing and left our Junior School science judge wanting to know more! The detail of results from Mentos and coke to balloon-powered cars was both interesting and so well thought out throughout. The children also had the opportunity of working on their ICT skills by putting their findings into a PowerPoint to share in their virtual science fair. The project ended with a presentation from our guest science judge and what she does as a research scientist. Take a look at some of the examples from this year's virtual Science Fair below:
