What a week it’s been for Year 6 as they dedicated themselves to their Dragons’ Den project; coming off timetable to create and produce an educational game for children and using recycled materials to create prototypes of their games.

The children worked tirelessly and with great enthusiasm throughout, learning how to collaborate with their group - who may not always have had the same idea as them, demonstrating patience with the natural leaders and learning to delegate effectively. In researching their games, they created surveys, analysed data and produced a report on their findings.

With their research to hand, the teams then built, questioned, trialled, and improved their game designs, learning the importance of clarification within rules and instructions. On Friday it was time to face the DRAGONS!  A very friendly looking bunch comprising Mr Taylor, Mr Carr (who thoroughly enjoyed returning to school) and Mrs Munn and Ms Trump, from the Year 7 team.   During their presentations, the children had the opportunity to 'attract, hold and inform' the Dragons of their creation, and wow, did they do a great job!

The Year 6s should be congratulated for all their efforts during the week. Year 6 have yet another memory of their time at the Junior School, while giving them further opportunities to gain some valuable life skills.
